Een station verbouwen doe je niet alleen!

Van familie en vrienden tot de vele vrijwilligers die ons via Workaway vonden. Sommigen bleven een week, anderen maanden. Samen werd er geschilderd, gesloopt, gemetseld, getimmerd, geschuurd en vooral heel veel puin geruimd.

Maar ze brachten ons veel meer dan alleen extra handen. Ze brachten energie, humor, vriendschappen en vooral heel veel mooie verhalen.

En iedereen liet iets achter.

Iedere vrijwilliger schreef een verhaaltje over zijn of haar tijd bij ons in ons herinneringsboek. Een boek dat inmiddels vol staat met bijzondere herinneringen. Verhalen die ons nog steeds laten glimlachen, maar soms ook zorgen voor een brok in de keel of zelfs een paar tranen.

Want sommige mensen waren maar kort bij ons, maar hebben toch een blijvende plek gekregen in ons verhaal.

Zonder al deze geweldige mensen was Schlossbahnhof Ballenstedt nooit geworden wat het nu is. Ze hebben niet alleen meegebouwd aan het station, maar ook aan de herinneringen, vriendschappen en verhalen die erbij horen.
